Society is registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization operated by its
private pond owner members. We are an accredited member of Associated Koi Clubs
Our 2013 Tour is presented with the substantial help and guidance of
Harb's Oasis. Charbel Harb has been a leader in the
Baton Rouge area in pond design, water plants, and maintenance for many years.
To organize an annual pond tour event in the Baton Rouge Louisiana area with
net proceeds are donated to qualified beneficiaries.
Pond owners open their private residences to the public in late spring. Deep
South sells tickets for the tour events
through local business.
The Beneficiaries of the 2013 Tour of Ponds are
- Brave Heart Children in Need.
This is a Baton Rouge organization was founded in July, 2004. They focus on
improving quality of life for children who endure the emotional trauma of
being removed from their homes due to abuse and/or neglect.
- Yelp!Br. This organization provides
shelter and adoption services for dogs. Founded in 2009, Yelp is
committed to ending euthanasia of healthy and treatable companion animals in
the Greater Baton Rouge Area.

Dozens of lovely private ponds are open throughout the Baton Rouge Area.
You drive yourself using the descriptions and maps in our 2013 Tour Guide.
This year, we are
dividing the Tour at Airline Hwy. East of Airline ponds will be on Tour
Saturday only (includes Santa Maria). West of Airline ponds will be
on Tour Sunday only.
You can pick up your Tour Book the day of the
tour at one of our Gateway ponds (listed on the ticket). Or, after May 11th
you may exchange your ticket for the Tour Book at Harb's Oasis on Coursey
Tickets are available at
Oasis. Proceeds of store ticket sales are distributed equitably to the
Brave Heart -
100% of your ticket donation is retained by the charity.
Yelp - 100% of your
ticket donation is retained by the charity.
