Deep South was founded in 1993. The
Society's history and leadership is described at

Society is registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization operated by its
private pond owner members. We are an accredited member of Associated Koi Clubs
of America.
Our 2012 Tour is presented with the substantial help and guidance of
Harb's Oasis. Charbel Harb has been a leader in the
Baton Rouge area in pond design, water plants, and maintenance for many years.
Our Mission
To organize and annual pond tour event in the Baton Rouge Louisiana area Net proceeds are donated to qualified beneficiaries.
Pond owners open their private residences to the public in late spring. Deep
South sells tickets for the tour events
through local business.
The Beneficiary of the 2012 Tour of Ponds is
Brave Heart Children in Need.
This is a Baton Rouge organization which was founded in July, 2004.
Brave Heart focuses on improving the quality of life for children who are experiencing the
emotional trauma of being removed from their homes due to abuse and/or neglect.
